Indian version of Disney's Alladin awaits April Launch

Disney India is expected to launch an Indian version of their popular stage musical, Aladdin at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai in April this year.

Disney India is bringing this stage classic from its portfolio of musical theatre plays to India after multiple successful seasons of their 'The Beauty and the Beast' in both 2015 and 2016 in the country.

The company has reportedly partnered with BookMyShow online entity as its new stage musical's producer with exclusive rights for its Indian production.

The stage musical is expected to premiere in Mumbai before travelling to Hyderabad and Delhi over the coming months.

Aladdin musical of Dysney had already reached audiences in the UK, USA, Japan and Australia with great success.

Reports say that PayPal is another partner of Dysney India in the case of Aladdin in the form of a sponsorer. This says, the preferred payment system for the musical would be Paypal.

According to Mr Abhishek Maheshwari, Disney India's country head, stories of Dysney were timeless and bearing a special meaning for all in a family and they were committed to conduct world class entertainment, which families in their everyday life could become a part of.

The managing director of PayPal, Mr Anupam Pahuja said that they were proud to be associated with Aladdin of Dysney as well as BookMyShow. He added that the iconic production promised to be an enthralling experience for all as they looked forward to turning the experience even more savoury by offering an easier as well as safer way to purchasing online tickets.
