In a proud moment for the global Malayali community, Dr. J. Retnakumar, Founder-Chairman of Bhavalaya and Global Chairman of the World Malayali Federation, was honored with the prestigious London Malayalam Literary Forum Award. The ceremony, held in Kottayam, recognized Dr. Retnakumar's outstanding contributions to arts, culture, and community engagement across the world.

The award was presented by senior politician and former minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, who commended Dr. Retnakumar and other expatriate leaders for their invaluable efforts in promoting Malayalam language and Kerala's rich heritage on the global stage. He emphasized that such personalities are true ambassadors of the culture, especially at a time when linguistic and cultural identities face challenges.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Retnakumar highlighted the significance of organizations like the London Malayalam Literary Forum, which continue to strengthen cultural roots despite geographic distances. He also made a heartfelt appeal for collective support of the upcoming anti-drug campaign initiated by the World Malayali Federation across all 14 districts of Kerala.

Notable figures such as Prof. Madhavan Balakrishna Pillai, Dr. Aji Peter, author Kilirur Radhakrishnan, and Loka Kerala Sabha member C.A. Joseph (London) also graced the occasion, reflecting the diverse and dedicated spirit of the Malayali diaspora.

This recognition not only celebrates individual achievement but also reinforces the vital role of cultural leadership in building a more conscious, connected, and creative world.
