Abhinaya

Ms Abhinaya Nagajothy started learning Kuchipudi from her parents Guru Smt. & Sri Nagajothy at a tender age. Since both her parents were themselves dancers, she was fascinated by the art and started showing interest in it since her childhood. After due learning, her performances were appreciated by one and all which encouraged her to take up dancing for rest of her life. Her hard work, polished expressions true to her name and escorting parents made her win an audience of her own. She soon won zonal scholarship and became National scholarship holder from HRD Govt of India since 2007. She is also B-grade Doordarshan artist for Kuchipudi Dance. She has also performed in the “Splendors of India” festival at Bilbao, Spain. Apart from performing regularly at places like IIC, Habitat Cemtre, Delhi Tamil Sangam, A.P Bhawan, she has also performed in many prestigious festivals like Ananya, Prathishtitha, Nritya Pratibha of Sangit Natak Academy, Ocian Film festival 2005, Andhra Formation Day Celebrations, Chamba festival, Jhansi Ayurved dance festival etc. She has also shared the stage with renowned Kuchipudi artists like Padmashree Jayarama Rao & Vanashri Rao. Apart from playing the lead characters in dance dramas like Dasavatharamulu, Saranam Ayyappa, Shiva Tharangam choreographed by her gurus.
